The newly-installed Director, Directorate  for Integrated Police Operations-VISAYAS made a short but productive visit  recently.  On July 13, 2010 at around 6:45 o’clock in the morning, PCSUPT JAIME D CALUNGSUD JR, Acting Director, DIPO-Visayas and party arrived at DZR Airport, Tacloban City on board PAL flight and was met by PCSUPT REY L LAÑADA, RD PRO8 together with other officers.  After the warm reception at Airport VIP lounge, the group motored to PRO8.

 

          Upon arrival, the host rendered arrival honor to the guest and after which, a command conference  was held at PRO8 Conference Room at about 9:00 a.m. with the following program of activities: Invocation; Singing of National Anthem; Introduction of Participants by PSSUPT JESUS T GATCHALIAN, DRDO; Welcome Remarks by PCSUPT DRUSILLO C BOLODO, DRDA; Briefing Presentation by PSUPT TOMASITO T CLET, Acting Chief, ROPD; Staff announcement from the members of the Directorial Staff followed by a simple message by PCSUPT REY L LAÑADA, RD; Open Forum with PSSUPT EDGAR O BASBAS, RCDS as the moderator; Inspirational Message by PCSUPT JAIME D CALUNGSUD JR, Acting Director , DIPO-Visayas and lastly giving of plaque of appreciation to the guest by RD, PRO8. The activity, which ended at about 1200H of same date, was attended by the Command Group, Directorial Staff, Provincial/City Directors, Battalion Commander of 8RPSB and Chiefs of NSUs.  After having their lunch, DIPO-Visayas and party together with the Regional Director proceeded to 8^th RPSB Headquarters situated at Brgy Pinamopoan, Capoocan, Leyte.  At about 1230H of same date, a short presentation of the perception survey on the performance of the Police Officers taken from 4,400 civilian respondents was held at PRO8 Conference Room presided by PSSUPT JESUS T GATCHALIAN, DRDO which was attended by the Directorial Staff, Provincial/city Directors and Chiefs of NSUs.

          On the second day, PCSUPT CALUNGSUD JR., PCSUPT LAÑADA and party left Tacloban City and arrived at 8^th ID, Camp Lukban, Catbalogan, Samar at around 9:30 a.m..  Afterwards, a conference with the military officers followed.  In the afternoon at around 1:00 p.m. they made a  courtesy call to Hon. Mila Tan, Samar Governor; they departed for Tacloban at around 1:30 in the afternoon and arrived at around 3:30 p.m.  Further, the key officials in this region led the send-off ceremony at DZR Airport, San Jose, Tacloban City at around 4:30 p.m.

          Said activities ended with a very fruitful result.
